Cold Brew Recipe: Japanese Iced V60

Cold Brew Recipe: Japanese Iced V60

With record temperatures being hit, we're sipping on cold brew at the Roastery this week.

Inspired by Operations Manager Hannah's recent visit to Japan, try our Japanese Iced V60 recipe. This recipe flash chills a hot brew creating a crisp, clean cold coffee perfect for hot days.

Ingredients (makes 2 cups):

20g of finely ground coffee
150g of ice in your server
150g hot water

Method

1. Pour 30g of hot water onto your coffee and allow it to bloom for 45 secs.
2. Between 45 secs and 1 minute 30 secs - pour 60g of hot water.
3. Between 1 minute 30 secs and 3 minutes - pour 60g of hot water.
4. Serve over ice and enjoy!

We recommend drinking this cold brew black.

☕Top Tips!

  • Grind Finer (select our Aeropress grind if buying pre-ground)
  • Substitute half your water for ice, this flash chills your brew without too much dilution
  • Scale up to make for friends
  • Use our Flow Blend if you prefer your coffee with milk
