Our World Coffee Research Partnership

We are a proud member of World Coffee Research!

Here’s why we are investing in the future of coffee...

River Coffee was founded on an enthusiasm and commitment to champion the hard work that is done by the farmers and families who produce specialty coffee in origin countries.

From Will’s time living and working on coffee farms in South and Central America, to our direct trade model of relationship coffee and our regular origin visits to the countries and regions we buy from, it is hugely important to us to remain in touch with the people and communities at the heart of this industry.

With adverse weather throughout 2024 dramatically impacting the size and quality of key harvests in Brazil and Vietnam, the coffee market is in a volatile place, making there no better time to invest in the roots of our industry.

World Coffee Research drives science-based agricultural solutions to urgently secure a  diverse and sustainable supply of quality coffee today and for generations to come. Their research is focused on the potential to dramatically improve coffee productivity, coffee quality, climate resilience and farmer livelihoods.
