Charity Coffee in Collaboration with the Boaz Project

We have loved co-creating a custom coffee with the staff, volunteers and members at our local charity partner, the Boaz Project.Β

Since choosing Boaz as our local charity partner, we’ve been keen to support the charity intentionally in a way that feels personal to us and them.

Coffee plays an important part in fuelling the 30+ strong volunteer team at Boaz and is a regular feature in their morning routine. The members at Boaz sell a range of homemade products from eggs to jams and birdboxes. Adding a custom coffee blend to the products that they sell seemed like a natural fit!

Introducing Ewe-Phoric Blend!

The team at Boaz decided on the name Ewe-phoric (inspired by their woolly friends on the farm). With a name chosen, we delivered a tasting session onsite at Boaz during during a morning coffee break. It was a great morning with a full barn eager to taste the coffees. Boaz’s inhouse barista, Tom, brewed up two blends for everyone to choose from.

The final verdict picked a blend of coffees from Brazil. It’s a classic blend, packed with sweetness which pairs excellently with milk, as well as making a bold black coffee.

As for their custom label design, Hampshire-based artist Emma Lowres (@emmalowresart) kindly volunteered to translate an iconic view on the farm onto canvas which sits proudly on the front of every bag of Ewe-phoric.

Our team are proud to manufacture and supply Boaz with their custom blend which Boaz then sell onsite at Hill Farm and at a range of fundraising events. We hope that the custom coffee is a talking point that can open up conversations about the fantastic work the charity does for adults with learning disabilities, supports their fundraising and brings the spirit of enterprise to the real-work environment the charity provides for its members.

The Boaz Project is a friendly, farm-based charity that gives adults with learning disabilities real work in a supportive environment.
